The Regal of the Underworld

This is my diploma work in art school, a portrait of Greek deities Hades and Persephone. If you don't know these characters, read the description in my deviation "Persephone" or check the article with the same name in Wikipedia.

But yeah, I'm sooo happy that the process is over now and I have really finished this work. I got the inspiration to do this work in April of 2010, so this process lasted for a year - which I think is amazing. During that time I experienced almost every emotion: happiness, frustration, fear and relief. I thought many times that I should have done this differently and better, but after all I'm very content and very proud of myself.

The painting is done with acrylic colors to a piece of thick cardboard (size of about 90 x 90 cms).
